- Adventure lovers who want to explore destinations from the water but cannot sail. No longer do you have to see the same beach view from your hotel complex. We can help you find a yacht and skipper for you.
- Sailors who want to relax with their friends and family rather than take the helm. Sometimes you just don’t want to be in charge. While sailing is enjoyable for everyone else, it can be hard work for the skipper. A skippered charter removes this burden and gives the responsibility to an experienced professional.
- Sailors who want to explore a new destination and get comfortable with the cruising ground. Perhaps you’ve sailed for years, but Solent is a new destination for you that is known to have challenging wind systems or navigation. A skippered charter helps you to pick up advice and tips so you can sail next time.
- New sailors who want to grow their confidence. Perhaps you hold the RYA Day Skipper qualification, but want to sail with a more qualified skipper to build up your skills, confidence and experience so you can go bareboat next time?If you’ve just started sailing and this is your first charter, you may want to consider a skippered yacht charter. A skipper means you can relax and learn about sailing in other countries to grow your knowledge without pressure.

CHARTER PERIODS
We try to be as flexible as possible and will do our best to accommodate your requirements. Please discuss with our charter team in advance.
Please note we reserve the right to charge £25 per hour for yachts that are returned late.
At the beginning of your charter your yacht will be clean and ready to sail, with a full tank of fuel and water tanks and sufficient gas for the duration of the solent yacht charter. We do expect that you return the yacht in a similar state, clean and tidy and with tanks refilled.
We reserve the right to make a charge should the yacht be left in dirty condition.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CHARTER
The skippers we provide are all RYA Yachtmaster qualified, with the appropriate commercial endorsement, and wherever possible will also hold an RYA Cruising Instructor qualification. Your skipper will stay on your yacht with you so you will need to ensure he has his own cabin and will need to include them in your food provisionings. Occasionally clients will invite the skipper to dine with them if eating out but usually they will just ensure there is food on the yacht for them to have. The skipper will be a professional who knows the sailing area inside out. They can advise you of the best areas to visit and they are usually very clued up on local restaurants too. They are respectful of your privacy and understand that this is your holiday to enjoy as you wish.
Safety whilst afloat is a priority at Bridge Sailing. All our Yachts have passed stringent checks by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), and carry lifejackets & harnesses, liferafts, flares and other items of safety equipment. At point of handover you will be given a comprehensive briefing on the yacht and its equipment. If at any time you want to ask any questions with regards to the yachts equipment, our staff will be happy to help.
